Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

Updated: Aug 10

As a travel agent, we get to travel to places and experience them so we can give our clients first hand knowledge. They are called Familiarization trips or FAM trips for short. This trip in March 2016 to Cabo San Lucas was my first official FAM trip.

After touring Secrets, we were off to Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. This is a family friendly resort but it has an adults only section. I had a group stay at this property last month and they loved it! It was a corporate reward trip for their top sales people and one of them needed to bring their 2 year old. This was a great choice for them and they were very happy with the whole trip. This resort was probably one of my top picks on this trip and most of the other agents I was with agreed as well. The only downside that I noted was that the beach isn't good for swimming but there was plenty of space to lay on the beach and enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful property and one of my favorite features were the firepits located on platforms in the middle of a reflection pool. I wish I was there at night so I could see them all lit up. Another item that I liked was the abundance of lounge chairs and Bali beds right on the beach. I loved that there was a rope set up to prevent the beach vendors from approaching you while you are relaxing on the beach.

We got to tour a swim up suite which is the same layout as the Master King room. They only allow teens (12+) or older in the swim up suites and there is a 3 person max too. I do recall a great teen club that we toured as well so this resort would make for a great multi-generational family trip.

Finally, I have a very short video that I took by the main pool. I didn't have much time to get more!
